Kapil Sharma is a renowned stand-up comedian who is loved by people of all age groups. He is soaring high with his comedy chat-show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
He bagged third position in the Most Admired Indian Personality List by The Economic Times in 2015. Moreover, he was nominated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Kapil gained recognition after winning ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2007. He forayed into the acting with ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, which released in 2015.
Now, Kapil has turned into a producer with a flick titled as ‘Firangi’. The recent update about Kapil’s maiden production venture is that the flick’s first schedule has been completed. The crew was shooting in Bikaner from some time.
On the wrap up of the first schedule of ‘Firangi’, Kapil tweeted, “And it’s pack up for Bikaner’s first schedule… Thank you Bikaner for so much love warmth, bhujia and papads. My bags are overloaded.” Apart from producing the flick, Sharma will also be acting in it. For the role, he is undergoing rigorous training.
Sharma’s first bankrolled project will be directed by Rajeev Dhingra. Ishita Dutta, younger sister of Tanushree Dutta, is the female lead in the flick. She debuted in Bollywood with Nishikant Kamat’s thriller film, ‘Drishyam’.
It is rumoured that Ishita will play a NRI girl in the movie, in which Kapil will be playing a villager. Speculations are rife that South actress Tamannaah is also going to star in ‘Firangi’.
